Viki Is Kidnapped

Dorian: Bo.

Bo: Dorian.

Dorian: Always a pleasure to see you. Please come in. our recently deceased friend is right in here.

Bo: Can't wait to read the obituaries. I wanted to actually talk to you about what happened to Mitch, Walker.

Walker: Commissioner. Maybe I should leave you two alone.

Bo: No, no, if it's ok, stick around. I'd like to maybe get your take on this.

Dorian: Hmm. What would you like to know?

Bo: Everything. What happened?

Dorian: Mitch lured Viki and me to St. Jude's, where he decided to play a rather bizarre game of Russian roulette. you know, who should he kill first? Viki, me? then he decided that the ultimate revenge would be to force me to kill Viki. I, of course, refused.

Bo: Why didn't he just kill you?

Dorian: Oh -- well, he said that he wanted to torture me, to make me suffer for the rest of my life, wondering whether at any minute he might -- at any rate, I think he's succeeding.

Bo: Did he say what he was going to do to Viki?

Dorian: No.

Bo: Walker, have any idea what Mitch is planning for Mrs.. Davidson?

Walker: Whatever it is, it'll really be about Jessica.

Nora: You upset? you look a little upset.

R.J.: I am.

Nora: You can tell me anything.

R.J.: Uh-huh?

Nora: You know that, don't you?

R.J.: Because we're friends.

Nora: Because we're friends.

R.J.: And you trust me.

Nora: Oh. well, against my better judgment sometimes, but, yes, I trust you.

R.J.: So tell me, what do you do when your friend betrays that trust, you find out they've been lying to you?

Nora: You're talking about Max?

R.J.: Max?

Nora: You didn't think I knew? Joey told me when I showed up at the palace. you two had had a spat of some sort and you fired him and told him you never wanted to see him again.

R.J.: It was no spat.

Nora: Ok.

R.J.: He betrayed me.

Nora: What happened? what do you mean, he betrayed you? how?

R.J.: Does it matter?

Nora: No. no, you're absolutely right, it doesn't matter. and I'm sorry, R.J., Because I know how close you and Max have been all these years.

R.J.: We'd risked our lives together. We've been flat broke together, and he turns on me.

Nora: Now you are angry and hurt and you can't believe you ever trusted him to begin with.

R.J.: Exactly. that's exactly how I feel.

Nora: It's only natural to feel that way when a friend betrays you.

R.J.: Right. anyone would feel that way.

Nora: Exactly.

Rex: Excuse me. You got time to talk about that thing now?

Nora: Ah, gentlemen. I'll leave you to your thing.

R.J.: It's not --

[Phone rings]

Bo: Buchanan.

Antonio: Commissioner, it's Antonio.

Bo: What's wrong?

Antonio: I think Jessica's gone to meet Mitch.

Bo: What -- why?

Antonio: I found a note. it says that if she wants to see her mother again, she'll follow his instructions.

Bo: That's it?

Antonio: And to call her mother's cell. Best I can figure, when she called, he told her where to meet him.

Bo: All right, we'll put out an A.P.B. I also want to put tracers on Viki' cell and on Jessica's. Maybe we can get a lead as to where they're meeting. meet me at the station.

Antonio: Right.

Dorian: Bo, what's happened?

Bo: They got a lead on Viki.

Gabrielle: Nora. Hi.

Nora: Hi, Gabrielle.

Gabrielle: I'm going to be meeting Bo for a cocktail here, but would you -- would you like to join me?

Nora: No. I'm not going to intrude.

Gabrielle: No. You're not intruding. I'm sitting here alone. please, come and sit. Give us a chance to talk about Matthew.

Nora: Matthew? is there a problem with Matthew?

Gabrielle: No. No, no, no, that's not what I meant. no, he's the most wonderful, lovable little boy in the whole world. and you know how important it is to Bo to spend time with his son.

Nora: Well, they got a lot of catching up to do.

Gabrielle: Yeah. that's what I wanted to talk to you about. are you sure that -- that you've been able to forgive what I did, keeping the truth from you and Bo?

Nora: Gabrielle, it's not keeping the truth. It was how you got the truth -- breaking into my house, opening my mail, reading a private letter.

Gabrielle: A complete lapse of reason. are you sure you can really forgive me?

Nora: You know what? You need to stop apologizing now because I think we're past that, all right? and frankly, I don't know, if the positions were reversed -- the point is I understand where you -- where you were, how you were feeling. I mean, you have this wonderful relationship with Bo, and then suddenly the ex-wife shows up front and center, and, well, I just -- I want to make sure that you understand that legal agreement about Matthew is not going to affect my relationship with Bo. Bo and I work together. That's it. That's all it will ever be.

Gabrielle: I know that you two are friends, and it doesn't  bother me.

Nora: Good. because Bo loves you. and yore in his life, and it's important that you know that Matthew's in his life, too, and that that's not a problem.

Gabrielle: I don't have a problem with that. I -- honestly, I don't have a problem with that. Bo is -- he's a wonderful father. I don't need to tell you that. And Matthew was brought out some beautiful things in his life.

Nora: Well, he had a tough time after losing Drew.

Gabrielle: As Matthew, I'm sure, is having a tough time losing Sam.

Nora: Yeah. it still hard to believe that Sam's gone, but I think having Bo is really helping Matthew to heal. and it's also important because, somewhere down the road, if I'm not around, it's nice to know that he'll have both of you.

Gabrielle: I can't tell you how much that means to me that you said that. thank you.

[Phone rings]

Nora: Oh. Excuse me. I'm sorry. Nora Buchanan.

Bo: Mitch kidnapped Viki. We think that Jessica went after him.

Nora: I'm on my way.

Bo: No, L.P.D.'S on it.

Nora: All right, ok.

Bo: I do need a favor, though.

Nora: Sure. Name it.

Bo: Could you call Gabrielle and just let her know that I'm going to be tied up?

Nora: That's easy because I'm sitting right next to her.

Bo: Oh, great. Thanks.

Nora: Would you --

[Bo hangs up]

Nora: Good luck.

Gabrielle: Don't say it. he's not going to be able to make it, right? it's ok.

Jessica: I didn't tell anyone, I swear! I swear!

Bo: Put down the weapon, Laurence. Let the hostages go.

Jessica: Please! Please, don't shoot!

Antonio: Jessica, move! Get out of the way!

Jessica: No! There's been enough killing! I'm not going anywhere!

R.J.: Right. roundtrip to Toronto. No, no. I don't have a return date.

Nora: Toronto?

R.J.: Yeah. yeah. I'm thinking of moving up there, so I'm going to go check it out.

Nora: What?

R.J.: Well, I've been thinking, and maybe Llanview is not the place for me anymore.

Nora: Oh, is this about Max?

R.J.: Max. no, it's -- it's more -- it's more than that. it's about a lot of things.

Nora: Keri?

R.J.: What do you mean?

Nora: Who do you think you're talking to, R.J.? come on. I know losing Keri and Liz and the baby -- it hurt you a lot. that kind of hurt you don't get over in one night.

R.J.: And there are too many reminders here.

Nora: I wish you and Antonio would come to some sort of understanding, get together.

R.J.: That is not going to happen.

Nora: Well, I certainly understand your wanting to go off and make a fresh start somewhere. boy, do I. but I hope you'll give it a -- I hope you'll think long and hard before you run off, leaving this place where there are people who love you and would miss you.

R.J.: Name one.

Nora: Me.

R.J.: Thank you for that.

Nora: Well, don't get all mushy on me. don't think I could bear that.

Bo: Let her go, Laurence!

Jessica: No, I'm not a hostage! He's going to let mom go, so don't shoot, ok? Please!

Viki: Jessica, let him go! He'll take you with him!

Bo: Hang on, jess, we're coming!

Viki: You got to let him go!
