Chapter One: The Dance

They had finally told Matthew the truth and now that “Uncle” Bo was daddy there was only one question left to answer…Where do they go from here? He had broken things off with Gabrielle after she threw a fit about Nora going on the fishing trip he had promised Matthew. They were both free or were they??? Maybe their hearts have always belonged to each other. It was time to find out.

The Palace Restaurant:

They were meeting each other for dinner. It was time to discuss what was happening between them. They had enjoyed a few nights of dancing at Rhodi’s, the good ole’ times they called it, but it was quickly becoming something more. It was all coming back.

Nora sat at their corner table for two out on the terrace looking up at the star filled sky. She thought back to their “healthy living” date and the wish she’d made on the falling star. She’d ended up being the one that hurt him, the one who had broken his heart, but that was in the past now, he’d forgiven her. They had a second chance…could they make it to forever this time?

“Sorry I’m late”, he said as he sat down at their table.

“That’s okay. I just got here myself,” she said, a bit too quietly for his taste.

“What’s wrong Nora? When I walked up you looked like you were a million miles away.”

“No not a million miles, but for a moment it did seem like a lifetime ago.”

“You want to talk about it?”

“I was just thinking about our date at the spa and the wish I made”, she said as she looked up at the sky.

Bo looked at her knowing exactly what wish she was talking about.

“Nora—that’s all in the past.”

“I know, it’s just that what if—what if it happens again? What if we end up hurting each other again because now we have Matthew to consider, it’s not just us anymore.”

“It wasn’t just us the last time either, Nora. Matthew was there then too, we just didn’t know he was ours. If we had known I honestly believe things could’ve been different.”

Bo looks around the terrace and notices they’re alone, everyone else opting for the air conditioning of the restaurant. He stands up and holds out his hand.

“Dance with me”, he said, his smile making his eyes dance melting her heart all over again. “I don’t want to talk about the past anymore. I want to dance.”

She put her hand in his and he led her out to the middle of the terrace, the moonlight dancing in her eyes.

I remember the first time I held you all night long.
Well we're still here now.
But where have all the years gone?
Holding you this way tonight.
It's easy to see why.

She laid her head on his shoulder; he rested his cheek against her forehead. They fit so perfectly in each other’s arms.

Being back in his arms just felt right, it felt like she belonged for the first time in so long.

Having her back in his arms reminded him why they were so right for each other, why no matter whom he held in his arms since her it never felt like home, until now.

All this time.
We held on to each other.
We knew we had to be strong.
All this time.
Through the tears and the laughter.
It's still forever after all this time.

Renee walked past the terrace doors and smiled. She looked down at the diamond on her hand and the solid gold band that accompanied it. She had found her heart again, and she was so happy they had finally found their way back to each other. It was only a matter of time before they realized it themselves.

In the fast movin' world.
Love is made and just thrown away.
But we've always kept the promises that we made.
Who would of thought you and me?
Would still be here where we said we would be.

She lifted her head off his shoulder and looked up at him, watching him as he stared up at the night sky.

“Look another wishing star.”

“Wow, the sky is definitely putting on a show for us tonight.”

“Did you make a wish?”

“I sure did”, she said, as she laid her head back against his shoulder. “Actually I made two.”

“So did I.”

“Care to share them with me?”

“No, I think I’ll show you instead.”

She lifted her head up off his shoulder again and looked into his eyes. He removed his arms that had been encircling her all through their dance and took her face in his hands. He brought his face within inches of hers as if asking for permission to continue. She reached up and took his face in her hands and as their lips touched for the first time in so long another shooting star flew across the sky indicating one wish coming true.

All this time.
We held on to each other.
We knew we had to be strong.
All this time.
Through the tears and the laughter.
It's still forever after all this time.

He broke the kiss and looked back at her; her face flushed with the after effects of their kiss.

“One wish down. One to go.”

Chapter Two: The Reunion

He took her hand and led her through the restaurant and up to the front desk. Five minutes later they were on the elevator, key in hand. He backed her up against the wall of the elevator and kissed her again. She responded immediately taking his tongue and caressing it with hers. He moved his kisses to her neck knowing full well she couldn’t resist. Her desire increased as the elevator slowly made its way to their floor.

They exited the elevator and walked hand in hand down to the suite. He paused for a moment outside the door as he backed her up against it. He kissed her neck as he reached around and unlocked the door. He opened the door never breaking contact; his lips burning the flesh behind her ear as he kissed and nibbled her neck leaving his subtle mark behind. He slowly backed her into the room pushing the door closed with his foot.

He led her over to the couch and laid her back his body falling down on top of hers. Their tongues continued their dance as his hands explored her body, taking in the familiar feel of her. She ran her hands over his chest; it was just like she remembered. She reached up and began to remove his tie. She threw his tie over her head and began to unbutton his shirt. She slowly slipped his shirt down over his arms until it joined his tie somewhere behind them. He broke contact with her mouth but never removing his lips from her skin. He trailed kisses down her neck and stopped at the opening of her shirt, an opening that revealed just enough of what he longed to see.

He brought his lips down to the valley in between her breasts. She arched her back as he continued to sear her skin with his kisses. He slowly unbuttons her shirt; a kiss accompanying each opened button. He pushed open her shirt as he caressed the top of her round breasts with his tongue. He undid the front clasp of her bra finally freeing her breasts from their silk prison. He took her nipple in his mouth eliciting a moan from deep within. He still knew what it took to pleasure her, after all their time apart, he still knew. That’s when you know it’s real, that it’s the way it was meant to be.

She reached down and pulled at the waistband of his pants removing his belt sending it across the room. She made quick work of his pants and anything else that was keeping him from being revealed to her. She slipped her hand in between their bodies and took his desire in her hands. His body shuddered at the contact, reveling in the feel of her hands on him once again.

He removed her hand from his hardened shaft as he ran his tongue down her stomach and stopped at her skirt. He unzipped her skirt and slowly lowered it over her hips revealing her body to him. He took a deep breath as he looked at her lying before him, her body even more beautiful than he remembered.

“God your beautiful”, he whispered.

She took his face in her hands, capturing his mouth in another passionate kiss. He broke the kiss and moved his tongue slowly down her body stopping at the top of her womanhood. He ran his fingers up the side of her legs; sending chills down her spine. He slowly ran his tongue along the inside of her thigh causing her to open her legs to him giving him full access to what he was seeking. He slowly slipped two fingers between her folds, running his fingers over her most sensitive spot. He looked up at her; her skin flushed with passion. He replaced his fingers with his tongue; another moan escapes from deep down. He continued to pleasure her as she moves her hips in rhythm with his tongue. He continued to run his tongue over her center knowing she was on the verge of release. He felt the walls of her center tighten around his tongue as her body was over come by her climax. He broke contact with her center; kissing up her stomach and around her breasts before crashing his mouth down onto hers. She accepted his tongue into her mouth, tasting herself on his tongue, causing her desire to pool within her legs once again. He had been it, the only one who could bring her to the edge and start it all over again with just a kiss.

She broke the kiss and laid her hands on his chest pushing him into a sitting position on the couch. She stood up and held out her hand. He looked at her; standing naked in front of him; and he couldn’t believe she was real. He laid his hand in hers and she pulled him up off the couch. She wrapped her arms around his neck; crashing her mouth down onto his. She could feel his desire grow as their bodies remained pressed against each other. They walked towards the bedroom but only made it as far as the nearest armchair. She backed him into the chair and knelt down in front of him. She positioned herself in between his legs as she ran her hands down his chest and along the outside of his legs as she pleasured him with her tongue. He laid his head back knowing that she was bringing him to the point of no return.

He laid his hands on her face making her break contact with his desire. He pulled her up and grabbed her from behind and pulled her against him. He lifted her and placed her in his lap. She repositioned herself and as she felt him enter her she released the breath she had no idea she had been holding. Their bodies moved in perfect timing, timing that only old lovers would have, a rhythm that only comes from knowing the other so well. 

 

Their bodies continued their familiar dance until they were spent, their bodies still intertwined in the chair. She laid her head against his chest their breathing still heavy in the after effects of their lovemaking. He lifted her up; a moan escaped as their bodies disconnected.

He picked her up and carried her into the bedroom. She wrapped her arms around his neck kissing him as he placed her on the bed. He lay down beside her and wrapped her up in his arms. She melted into his embrace. A comfortable silence filled the room as they held each other tight.

Reunited

She turned around to face him lovingly touching his face. He saw the tears well up in her eyes and as they fell he kissed them away. He kissed her lips; the taste of her tears still on his lips. They continued to kiss, their bodies responding with desire and passion. He rolled her back onto her back and positioned himself over her. He entered her again and their dance began.

Reunited

They had created a life out of their love not long ago, and it was that life, the life of their precious little boy that has brought them where they were tonight. Two hearts filled with love, two bodies reconnected, two lovers reunited.
