Jen's Video
July 18, 2003
Hank: Hey, Nora, where's Colson?
Nora: Hi. Believe it or not, out. I actually thought he brought a sleeping bag here and lived off the candy machine.
Hank: Yeah. So what's your take on the guy?
Nora: Oh, well, you know, I haven't really worked with him very long. You know, he's sort of tireless and determined, sort of --
Hank: Mm-hmm. So you don't like him, huh?
Nora: Does it show?
*~*
Jen: Nora?
Nora: Hi, Jen.
Jen: I知 really scared for my mom. I called up St. Ann's and she's not there, and then I read in The Banner that she's still missing.
Nora: Wait a minute. What do you mean?
Antonio: Wait a minute, let me see that. "Exclusive -- Mitch Laurence autopsy results"? I -- this hasn't been released yet.
Nora: Let me see this.
Antonio: Who the hell leaked that to Kevin Buchanan?
Nora: Um -- I知 -- I知 sorry about your mom.
Jen: I just don't understand why she changed her mind and why she didn't turn herself in. She said she didn't want to make the same mistake as last time. She didn't want to run away because she knows that makes her look guilty.
Nora: OK, wait a minute, wait -- you talked to her?
Jen: Yeah, for a minute.
Nora: And she was planning on turning herself in?
Jen: Yeah, and that's when I found out the real reason why she ran away in the first place. I downloaded some video on my laptop. It's some stuff that I took.
Hank: Look, Jen, why don't we step into Bo's office, take a look at that, huh? Come on.
Jen: I -- I've been doing a video on Dr. MacIver.
Nora: Interesting subject.
Jen: Yeah, well, it's supposed to be the day in the life of a professional. My mom saw some of this footage and she totally freaked out. You've got to take a look at this. Do you mind if I use the ladies' room?
Nora: Yeah -- no, sure. Go on.
Hank: I don't recognize any of those women, do you?
Nora: No. Oh, wait a minute -- yeah. That's -- oh, that's what's-her-name --
Hank: The one from the hospital.
Nora: Claire Baxter, absolutely. Absolutely.
Hank: Gabrielle?
Nora: Oh, it sure is. Not that it's any big surprise, I知 afraid.
Hank: Oh, what, you know something I don't?
Nora: It's a long story and it's got nothing to do with the Mitch Laurence case, but, yeah, Troy and Gabrielle are kind of -- well, something is going on. I知 not quite sure. Look, I don't want Bo to know anything about it, all right? I don't want to see him get hurt.
Hank: Yeah. I don't, either.
Nora: You know, if Troy wanted to cover up all these relationships -- you know, because it would jeopardize his career -- and Lindsay found out about them, she could've blackmailed him.
Hank: Yeah. And it's possible that Mitch Laurence died of a blow to the head from Lindsay, and then Troy pumped him full of tranquilizers and then poisoned him to help Lindsay cover it up.
Nora: His brother was a wonderful doctor, too. Remember?
Hank: Yeah. Yeah. Then he lost it and flipped right over the edge.
Nora: Do you think he's following in his brother's footsteps?
*~*
Nora: Jen, thank you very much for bringing this to us. Is it possible that we can get a copy of all that?
Jen: Well, I have to use this for my class today, but I can get it to you tomorrow.
Nora: All right, fine, and we'll stay on top of your mom and let you know.
Jen: OK, OK. Are you going to question Troy?
Nora: Well, we certainly would like to, but it seems that he's missing in action, as well.
Jen: They could be together.
