Getting to the Truth
April 17, 2003
Lindsay: Why would you say something like that to me? I would never hurt your father. Why? No! Don't you --
Bo: Jen --
Lindsay: Don't you go! You get her, Bo! You -- get her, bring her back! No --
Bo: Lindsay --
Lindsay: I --
Bo: Lindsay --
Lindsay: No, I have to protect her. I have to protect us. I have to protect Sam!
Bo: What do you have to protect them from?
Lindsay: From Mitch Laurence.
*~*
Bo: Lindsay, why do you feel that you have to protect your family from Mitch?
Lindsay: None of this would have happened if it hadn't been for Mitch.
Bo: What wouldn't have happened?
Lindsay: I was so in love with troy, but he didn't want me. I was upset and angry, and Mitch used that. He twisted it.
Bo: And what did Mitch do?
Lindsay: He told me that everyone was laughing at me. No. Nora told me that.
Bo: Lindsay, what did Mitch do?
Lindsay: He gave me the gun.
Bo: Did he tell you to shoot troy?
Lindsay: I don't want to talk about Mitch Laurence anymore. He scares me. He scares everybody.
Bo: Well, he doesn't scare me.
*~*
Dorian: Lois! The door -- useless. Bo.
Bo: Dorian. Where's Mitch?
Dorian: Do come in. Mitch is out.
Bo: Well, I've got a few questions for him.
Blair: Hi.
Bo: But as long as I'm here, maybe I can run a few things past the two of you.
Blair: What, is it about Todd?
Bo: No. It's about Lindsay. Lindsay just told me that Mitch gave her the gun that she used to shoot Sam.
Blair: What? Mitch put Lindsay up to killing Sam?
Bo: Hmm, no. I think he put her up to killing Troy, but he wanted her to use Todd's gun. That way he could turn around and frame Todd for the crime.
Blair: Oh, yeah. See? I knew that, Bo. I told you that Mitch was behind it! I knew it!
Dorian: Ahem.
Bo: Hmm. You involved in this, Dorian?
Dorian: You must be joking. I wasn't even in Llanview. You and Viki have such an exaggerated sense of my powers.
Bo: Dorian, either you're up to your false eyelashes in all of Mitch Laurence's crimes or you're in way over your head this time.
*~*
Dorian: So anything that goes wrong in this town, Mitch is to blame?
Bo: I guess it's true what they say about married couples, isn't it? Because you're starting to sound exactly like your husband.
Dorian: This is no laughing matter. It's a very serious thing when someone is being persecuted for something they did not do. You do remember the same thing happened to me, and all because of Viki.
Bo: Yeah, but as it turns out, victor lord was alive, so you were both innocent.
Dorian: And Mitch is innocent. I am confident that he is going to be completely exonerated.
Bo: Uh-huh. And they said romance was dead.
Dorian: Huh.
[Phone rings]
Dorian: Lois! I'm sure you can show yourself out.
Lois? Why doesn't she answer the phone?
Bo: She is a piece of work, isn't she?
Blair: That's Dorian.
Bo: Good thing her line of bull about Mitch doesn't run in your family, though, because your testimony against him --
Blair: Actually, Bo --
Bo: Actually what Blair?
Blair: I am not going to testify against Mitch.
Bo: You're what?
Blair: I'm not going to testify.
Bo: Why?
Blair: I have children to think about. That's why.
Bo: Blair, we will protect your children. You know that.
Blair: Oh, really? Do I? Do I, Bo, really?
Bo: Did Dorian convince you to do this?
Blair: No, I made that decision on my own and I'm sorry. I'm sticking with that decision.
Bo: Well, I'm sorry, too, Blair, because this isn't over. All right? If we have to, we'll subpoena you.
