From Forbidden Fruit to Love Renewed Chapter 19

Two years later:

They pull into the gravel parking lot two years to the day that they first walked through the door of RM 13 on a stormy night; the night their new lives began. He parked the car and walked around to the passenger side to help her out of the car. He laughed at her childish expression and dislike in the fact that she was yet wearing another blindfold, one he had insisted she put on a mile back. He had another surprise for her, something special, something to signify their past, present and future, much like the ring she wore on her left hand.

"Bo Buchanan, take this thing off of me right now. I mean this is really ridiculous Bo, I know where you are taking me,"

"You do huh?"

"Of course I do, you don't think I have this entire road memorized, you only put the blindfold on a mile back."

"Okay, so where are we then?"

She reaches for his face, as she smiles at him, her fingers playing with the hair at the back of his neck, he takes advantage of the moment, placing his hands around her waist, pulling her close to him, "You were saying dear?" he whispers.

"I was saying we are standing right out side room 13," he spins her around and takes the blindfold off, "of the Garden of Eden hotel......” She looks around then back at Bo, "What is this?", her eyes wide in astonishment.

"I thought you knew where we were, what's wrong Ms. Smarty Pants, you surprised?" Laughing he takes her hand in his, and points at the sign, "The Garden of Eden Miniature Golf Course, (aka 'little' golf not by any means putt-putt)

Nora looks at him, a stray tear in her eye, "You remembered that?"

"Honey, I remember everything, come on, reaching out and wiping the tears off her cheek, "So honey, you feel like a round of golf?"

"Are there any bear traps on this course?"

“Nope…just tender traps.” he smiles mischievously.

"You better believe it!" she laughs as she takes his hand following him to the clubhouse. “Bo it's not open.” she looks at him, disappointed.

He pulls the keys out of his pocket, "Well, no not officially, it needs to be christened first."

Handing her the keys, "Happy Anniversary, honey.”

"Honey, it’s not our anniversary.”

"Ah honey, that's where you’re wrong; think about it, what happened two years ago on this day?"

She takes a moment to think but only a moment before the realization hits her. Her eyes well up with tears as she remembers the day she found her heart again. "Two years ago today we gave each other one night...one night to forget our past, our present...and on that night we found our future...”

"That's right honey," he leans in kissing her, "you are definitely my future," He leans back, "So you wanna play?"

"The more appropriate question is, are you ready to get your cute little butt whooped again?"

"Oooo I like the sound of that, well the butt whooping part.", he winks.

She smacks him, "You are bad."

"I thought you liked bad?"

"So what do I get?"

"Get?"

"When I win, what do I get?"

"Well if you win I promise you a night you'll never forget, and if I win what do I get?"

“Well IF you win…and that's a big if I'll,” she leans up and whispers in his ear, "Well let's just say it'll be a night like no other night we've ever had together."

“Well then I guess either way we both win”, he raises his eyebrows, "Alright grab a ball, Red and let's go."

They walk through the gate hand in hand, and as she looks around, she realizes that this isn't just any miniature golf course; she turns to look at him "Bo," she whispers, "what have you done."

"Stop delaying honey, let's play."

He pushes her towards the first hole, a pitcher of club soda spilling into a glass. As she puts the ball down she sees the plaque, she looks back at Bo as she reads it out loud; “It all started when you spilled into my life and changed it forever.”

“I can’t believe you remembered that. It was so long ago.”

“I told you before, Red. I remember everything since the day I first laid eyes on you. Now are we going to play or what?”

“Yeah we’re going to play”, placing a peck on his cheek. She hits the ball, "hole in one!" she turns towards him and winks.

He just shakes his head, "Figures."

Five strokes later he picks up his ball and takes her hand, leading her to the next hole, a dance floor, with a couple dancing, a trophy in the middle, she smiles as she leans down to place her ball, seeing the sign, "A little bit of dancing helped move our love along..." she turns to look at him memories of all the times they danced playing across her mind, “Bo…”

He takes her in his arms, pulling her close, “It’s been some dance, Red.”

“It sure has and I wouldn’t have wanted to miss one single step.”

He leans in and kisses her, “Your shot, honey.”

She places her ball on the tee and putts it in. Raising her arms in the air, “Another hole in one, beat that.”

Four strokes later he was leading her towards hole three. As they approached the top of the hill where the hole was he stops and pulls her close as the music begins to play…

When a man loves a woman…

They finish the quick dance and make their way up the rest of the way to the hole. She looks over at the life size replica of a jukebox and smiles as she reads the plaque, “A lot of rock 'n roll, a little bit of swing, and even a slow song or two where we could dance cheek”

She sinks another hole in one, "Top that, Buchanan."

"The only thing I want to top is YOU.” pulling her into a tight embrace.

"Quit trying to distract me. You're the one who's already way way way way way behind."

"Well, that's because you keep waving that cute little behind of yours in front of my face."

"Sure blame it on me, just because I'm whoopin' your cute behind."

He grabs her hand and pulls her towards the fourth hole. She stops and stares at another life size replica, this time of a tennis court.

"Tennis I remember tennis." She looks at the plaque, "Another date, another challenge, and another chance to fall in love.”

"I'd already fallen in love with you Bo Buchanan."

"I know”, he said, "Now play."

"What do you mean, you know?”

“I told you I was an expert on women in love”, placing kiss on her lips, "Now hit the ball, honey,"

Six strokes later, Bo was laughing as he set his ball on the tee, "Well, well, well, looks like you’re not as good at tennis as you used to be."

"Oh shut up and play."

He picks up the pencil after sinking the ball, "And that's two for me. So you ready for 5?"

Stomping ahead of him, she approaches hole 5, “Bring it on, Buchanan,” she mutters.

As she rounds the corner towards Hole 5…she stops dead in her tracks...She looks down at the plaque and reads it out loud... “A blast from the past, a chance to act like a teenager...another chance to fall in love all over again." She looks up at him, "You were falling already?"

He rolls his eyes, "I was falling from the moment I saw you..."And right here honey, is where you are going to fall behind."

"You think so, do you," She hits the ball, and it lands in the popcorn trap, "Dammit," she mumbles as she walks towards the ball.

"Hey that's a penalty stroke."

"Okay hot shot, your turn, let's see what you got."

He putts the ball, and places it right next to the hole. "Looks like another 2 for me honey." He says as he taps it in.

"I'm through fooling around," she says as she passes him on the way to the next hole.

She sees a giant diamond ring; the setting is a leather couch, looking towards the plaque, “Then there was the day that you said yes, and made my life complete.”

She looks up at him, tears in her eyes, "You know you’re trying to cheat by distracting me, but I'm onto you now." She closes her eyes, smiling; she putts the ball, opening one to peek, as it falls into the hole. "Your shot, honey” she says as she rubs her fingernails against her shirt.

"That's another 2 for me." He nods in the direction of the next hole, “Shall we continue?”

“After you.” she points as he makes his way up the hill. She looks at the next hole, a pinball machine, leaning down and reading the plaque beside the tee,
“A gift, a competition, a pile of mismatched socks, a reminder of how precious our lives and love is.”

“Hmm…maybe that’s what we should’ve wagered on instead of…”

“No way, Red, a bets a bet and we already agreed on the terms. So get on with it.”

She looks at the course, which has six holes, "Bo! Which one is the right one?"

"I guess you'll have to figure that out won't you."

"Fine be that way." She aims for the one in the back right; which pops it out and rolls it right back to the beginning. She turns to ask him again, but after seeing his smug expression decides against it, after 5 more attempts, at each of the different holes, she picks up her ball, "I'll just take a 6,” she mutters through clenched teeth, as she crosses her arms in front of her.

Laughing, he sets his ball down, and hits the magic hole on the first shot, which drops him in for a hole in one, looking at the scorecard, "Now, who’s falling way way way way way behind?"

“Come on”, she mumbles grabbing his arm, “Let’s just get this over with.”

She approaches the next hole; stopping dead, she turns and looks at him standing behind her. "It's the barn.” She looks down and finishes reading the plaque, "Then the day we found our dream house, one more dream of ours came true.” She turns around and wipes away the stray tears, straightening her back, "I’m through being distracted Buchanan, I swear you did this just to come up with a way to beat me, but it won't work."

"You're such a sore loser, honey..."

"We'll see who's the sore loser tonight, buster."

She picks her ball out of the hole after 3 shots, He laughs as he places her score on the card, "Hey honey that’s par, good job."

"Shut up and let's get on with it."

Three shots later, "Look honey, you got par," she mocks him sarcastically as he picks his ball up out of the hole.

He mumbles, "Yep sore loser."

Approaching the 9th hole, she sees the replica of a family, playing the same game they were. Looking at the plaque once again reading it out loud, “You gave me more than just your love, the day you said I do, you brought with you “our” daughter, to love and cherish too.” "Damn you Buchanan, making me cry. I’m not kidding it won’t work.”

"Well," he shakes the scorecard, "so far it seems to be doing okay."

Trying in vain to be upset, but catching the plaque out of the corner of her eye once again as she prepares to putt, all she can focus on is the love she has for this man and the love he has for her. She hits the ball just right, and stops right next to the hole. "You're shot, Commish. He takes his swing, his ball knocks hers in as it blows past "Thanks, honey," she gives him a peck on the cheek.

He takes 2 more strokes to finish up. And then takes her hand leading her towards 10…

"Well half way there," he looks up and sees her hand running over the picture of Drew and Bo by the plaque, which sits beside the replica of a LPD Police Badge. She reads it out loud, her voice heavy with emotion, “Then there was the time you helped us find each other, a father and a son who'd lost too much time along the way.” "I loved him like he was my own son, you know that right?”

He goes over to her pulling her close, whispering in her, "I know you did, honey. And thank you, it’s because of you, we had the time we had." He wipes the tears from her eyes, and lightening the mood, "It looks like I'm up by 6 strokes...."

"Ah that's nothing,” she prepares to putt; the sadness of just moments ago, not forgotten but set aside. “That’s two for me, honey.”

She unbuttons her blouse slightly as she walks down next to her ball and as Bo prepares to putt she leans over, giving him a view that takes his breath away, causing his club to top the ball so it only moves a few inches.

"Honey what happened?" she asked standing back up.

"Dirty pool", he mumbles as he prepares to putt again.

"What was that?" a smile on her face.

"Nothing dear,” he picks his ball up, "Still 6 ahead...."

"I'm not worried." she heads to the next hole.

She approaches the lighthouse, stopping to read the plaque, “Through every storm you've been my light guiding me to shore.” She turns to look at him, "I'll always help you find your way home, you know that don't you?"

"You always have, I was just sometimes too stubborn to see it and for that I will always be sorry."

"Not as sorry as your gonna be when you lose. She raises her eyebrows as she turns to putt. Straight through the lighthouse into the hole, "Another hole in one honey. Would you look at that?"

"I saw it. Go get your ball out of the way." Her shirt still unbuttoned from earlier, she turns around towards him, looking down, he is awarded a full view of all she has to offer, his breath catches in his throat, "Don't you think you should button that, it's a bit windy out here?"

"Really you think it's chilly, I'm kinda warm," she fans her blouse out a little more.

He tugs at his collar, "Your ball is in the way honey, come on, go get it."

"Fine," she turns to get it.

Closing his eyes as he prepares to putt, the only thing he sees is her cream lace bra that leaves little to the imagination. He opens his eyes again and right as he is about to putt, she walks from behind the lighthouse, and her shirt is unbuttoned, save for the last one, barely holding it together, he hits the ball straight into the side of the lighthouse, causing it to bounce back and roll onto the pavement.

"Honey, isn't off the course a two penalty stroke?" She laughs as she heads for the next hole.

Her eyebrows rise as she sees the motorcycle sitting in the middle of the green. "Hmm, this could be fun," She reads the plaque, "To the most exhilarating ride of my life...."

He approaches her from behind, as she prepares to putt, and runs his hand across her stomach reaching up to run his fingertips across her breast, "Speaking of exhilarating."

She putts the ball straight into the side, "Damn you Buchanan."

"See, Red. Two can play that game."

"Yes they can..." she walks over and picks up her ball. As she sees him bend to set the ball down, she climbs onto the motorcycle undoing the last button of her blouse, the wind catches it exposing the cream silk bra completely as well as showing that it really was a little chilly outside...despite the warmth rising in both of them, she places her feet on the handlebars as she arches back.

Bo looks up; his breath catching in his throat at the sight before him. He drops his club and ball onto the green and approaches the motorcycle. He climbs on across from her and runs his hands up her long legs, teasing her as he runs his fingers along the inside of her thighs over the material of her jeans; slowly teasing her, driving her crazy in the process. He leans in and pecks her on the cheek before climbing off the motorcycle; leaving her sitting there breathless. She falls back on the motorcycle, trying to regain her composure; not even aware that he had just gotten a hole in one, til he leans in next to her whispering, "Hole in one, thanks for the inspiration honey."

Jumping off the motorcycle, she buttons her blouse back up a little, to keep it from flying off, as she approaches the next hole, she laughs when she sees the huge replica of a hot fudge sundae in front of her, “Hot fudge sounds good right about now.”, she leans down and reads the plaque, “The cure all for bad moods can be found in a lot of laughs and a spoonful of ice cream.”

She sets the ball down, and as she is about to make contact he approaches her from behind nibbling on that spot just below her ear that makes her melt. She closes her eyes as her knees go weak, a low moan escapes. She turns towards him, as she drops her club, the game momentarily forgotten She turns around in his embrace; snaking her arms around his neck. Their kisses turn passionate as they forget for a moment the journey they are taking...she opens his lips with her tongue, her desire for him growing stronger by the second. As their lips continued their passionate dance he lowered her onto the green, his hands freely exploring her body. He breaks their kiss; his lips never leaving her skin as he kisses down her neck until he reaches the place just above her bra. He takes her breast in his mouth; wetting the lace material that barely shields them from his eyes. He runs his fingers down her stomach until he reaches the waistband of her matching lace panties. He slips one finger in the sides and begins teasing her. His finger slips inside; as a soft moan escapes; letting him know just how he makes her feel. He crashes his mouth down onto her as his finger continues to pleasure her; until he feels her tighten around him.

He breaks their kiss and looks into her eyes; clouded with passion, "That was your second anniversary present."

As he leans back helping her with her shirt, she reaches for him, “Now, it’s your turn."

He grabs her hand bringing it to his lips. "Believe me, that was more than enough, do you have any idea what making you feel like that does to me?"

"I get lost in you Bo, I always have, I always will, every time you look at me, touch me, I am completely yours."

They finish 13, flushed and distracted. They head to 14 hand in hand, more concerned with the journey they were taking then the competition between them a few holes before.

She looks at the thunderclouds, confused she cocks her head towards Bo, who is already staring at the plaque, “Then the darkness overtook us, and we lost our way.”

"Oh Bo," she whispers.

"It's part of our journey, honey."

Her hand reaches for his face, a look of love in her eye. She pulls his face to hers, taking his lips in hers. What starts out as soft and gently, slowly builds to more, as his hands run down her hips, she reaches inside his shirt the fingers of one hand play with his chest, as the other trails down his stomach, stopping at the waistband of his pants. She can feel his desire pushing against her, and slowly trails her hand down the front of his pants. She pulls the zipper down, and then reaching inside. He moans at the contact, she continues caressing him, as he gets lost in her touch. Her movements are slow at first, but then responding to his hands on her hips, she brings him close to the edge. A moan escapes as he leans back against a bench, pulling her with him, his hands moving to the front of her pants, needing to free her, needing to be inside of her, sensing what he wants, she slows, giving him the time he needs with her free hand she undoes his pants, allowing them to slide from his waist.

As he undoes her pants, he reaches inside, taking both the pants and the soft lace panties underneath off. He pulls her on top of him as she feels him enter her, she moans, just making contact with her, is enough to send him reeling, but now, that he's there, he's not ready to leave. He reaches around and places his hands on her hips pulling him deeper inside of her. She wraps her arms around his neck as she straddles his lap. Their movements start out slow but soon their pace turns feverish as each movement of her hips matches his. They soon bring each other to the edge. He feels her tighten around him once again as he fills her. Soon they lay spent in each other's arms; knowing that the thunderclouds this hole represents will never invade their lives again, they will never lose their way.

She finishes buttoning his shirt, as he does the same for her. "So,” she looks at him, "ready to finish the journey up?"

"Absolutely, Red." Hand in hand they head to the next hole, "It's only happiness from here on out, honey no more tears."

They approached the next hole. She stopped once again, her emotions welling up inside of her as she kneels down in front of the plaque, adorning the course that was filled with soccer balls, baseballs, a Phillies pennant, a father and son fishing, and a mother and son dancing.” She turns as Bo kneels down beside her. She reads the plaque out loud, “The day we "found" our son, bringing back the love we shared.”

"Oh God, Bo, I was so happy that day, realizing that that little boy was our son, created out of our love for each other.

"So was I, but by then so much had happened, it just wasn't easy, to put it all in the past, but we have now, and that's exactly where it is going to stay. Now play." He urges her forward.

They are nearing the end, three holes to go, neither cares about the score.

She walks up to the next hole a replica of the motel that once stood on this ground in front of her. She looks down and reads the plaque, “And on this little piece of earth right here, I found my light you found your heart and a new life began, and our new future dawned...Aurora Eve Buchanan.”

"Bo," she looks around, "this is it isn't it, you had the motel torn down, and put this up."

Sheepishly he grins at her, "You like it right?"

"Are you kidding I love it, everything about it. I just can't believe you did all this."

"It's for us honey, our family. It's the greatest love story ever told, don't you know that? And I want our children to know how much we love each other and the journey that led us here."

"Yes I do…" She can't stop the tears from falling. Her hand goes to her stomach, thinking about the surprise she has for him. She was waiting for tonight, she had it all planned, a romantic dinner at the Palace followed by dancing. The honeymoon suite just for them, but maybe...

He interrupted her thought, "Come on honey, we aren't done yet. “Hey what's this?" he wipes her eyes, "no more of these."

He takes her hand; bringing it to his lips as they approach 17, a replica of St. James...She smiles as she reads the plaque, "Twice we started our lives together within these 4 walls…”

She turns and looks at him; lying her hand on his cheek, "And this time you're stuck with me."

"I wouldn't have it any other way Red..."

Finishing 17 they head to 18, an empty hole, she looks around, "I don't get it. There’s nothing here."

"Well, this one is for our future, so I was waiting for you, what do you think we should put here?"

A smile comes to her lips as she realizes this is the perfect opportunity. She should have known it would be something like this, "Well, let's see, " acting like she needs to think about it, he comes up behind her, his hands on hers covering her stomach. "We could put a pacifier, or diapers, or…" pretending to think some more, "ooo I got it how about a pair of booties or a crib."

"Honey I was thinking more like a dog, because the kids will want a pet soon or," he turns her around so she is facing him, "why are you talking about baby stuff?"

Smiling as she takes his face in her hands, "Well, because that’s the stuff you need when you have a baby..."

"Yeah but honey Aurora is beyond booties or a crib for that matter."

She takes his hand places it on her stomach. "True, she is, but...This little one here is going to need some."

He looks down at their hands, and then back in her eyes. "We're having a baby?"

She nods, tears flowing down her cheeks. "We're having a baby," he picks her up and swings her around "And I am going to be right here by your side the whole way."

"You got that right mister," she leans in kissing him. "This is our chance Bo, our chance to get it perfect."

"Just like our love Red, perfect."

"They do say the third times' the charm."

He takes her hand, "You know, this clubhouse over here”, pointing to the building behind then, "It's the only remaining part of that motel"

"Really she looks at him?"

"Yeah, Room 13, I just couldn't bear the thought of tearing it down," he raises his eyebrows, as he looks up at the storm clouds rolling in, thunder threatening in the distance, "Care to relive the past Red."

She takes his hand in hers and brings it to her lips, "I'm always up for reliving the good times with you, Bo Buchanan."

He reaches out and takes her face in his hands; pulling her into a passionate kiss. He leads her over to the couch in the corner of the clubhouse. He lays her back onto the couch; their lips never breaking contact as he begins to unbutton her shirt once again. She reaches out and does the same; pushing his shirt down over his arms until it lies on the floor beside the couch. She runs her hands up his chest and around his neck as their tongues continue to their intimate dance. He slips her shirt off; quickly turning his attention to her bra which soon lies on the floor amongst their already discarded clothing. He kisses down her neck and across her chest before taking her breast in his mouth.

*My love
There's only you in my life
The only thing that's right
Oh yeah

My first love (yeah)
You're every breath that I take
You're every step I make

She reached down and undid the button to his jeans pushing them down over his hips; taking his boxers with them. He quickly kicked them off, sending them to the floor. He continued to caress her breast with his tongue as he unzipped her jeans; quickly lowering them over her hips; her panties being taken along with them.

(Oh)
And I (And I)
I want to share
All my love with you, hey yeah
No-one else will do (oh)
And your eyes (your eyes, your eyes)
They tell me how much you care

Oh, yes
You will always be
My endless love
Oh yeah

He lowers his lips onto her stomach; the new life growing inside her another symbol that their love is forever more. He looks into her eyes and sees nothing but the love she has for him; and his love for her is mirrored in his. They continued to take their time; each pleasuring the other like no one has done before.

The storm outside continued to rage as their passion inside the clubhouse reached a fevered pace. Neither one thinking about the game they just played, neither one caring who won or who lost. The only thing they had on their mind was the journey they had just taken and the journey that still lies ahead.

Two hearts
Two hearts that beat as one
Our lives have just begun
And forever (forever)
I'll hold you close in my arms
I can't resist your charms
No no no no (no no no)

And I (And I)
I'd be a fool
For you, I'm sure
You know I don't mind (no, you know I don't mind)
'Cause baby you (baby, baby, baby, baby)
You mean the world to me, yeah
I know I've found in you
My endless love

They whisper their “I love you's” as he slowly enters her.

And I (And I)
I'd be a fool
For you, I'm sure
You know I don't mind (no, you know I don't mind)
'Cause baby you (baby, baby, baby, baby)
You mean the world to me, yeah
I know I've found in you
My endless love

Lying in the afterglow of their lovemaking, caressing his chest as she listens to his heartbeat, "Jonathon Macey”, she whispers.

"What?" he asks confused."

She looks up at him, "The name for our son, Jonathon Macey Buchanan."

He smiles, "Isn't a little soon to tell it's a boy?"

"A mother knows these things,” she shrugs.

"I see, Jonathon Macey huh?”

"He is our gift, and he is a sign of our enduring love. Jonathan means gift and Macey means enduring."

"Well then Jonathan Macey Buchanan it is.”, He takes her face in his, "I love you Nora Buchanan...."

"I love you too, Bo," and with that their dance began again.
