From Forbidden Fruit to Love Renewed Chapter 18

He looks in the mirror one last time as he straightens his bowtie…

*flashback*

"Next wedding I'll write everything down first."

She smacks him "Next wedding?" as everyone laughs.

*end of flashback*

"Well, Red, looks like I predicted this, huh? It's okay though because this time is definitely the last time." He walks out of his room heading towards Matthew's, "How you doing in there, Champ?"

"Um, I think I need some help."

Bo walks in trying to stifle his laughter, "Here let me help with that,” he turns the cummerbund around and after several attempts at trying to fix his bowtie from the front stands behind him, and fixes it. "There you go."

He stands up; their reflections staring back at them in the mirror, "We look handsome don't we dad?"

"We sure do son, so you ready to get married?"

"Yeah."

Nora stands in front of the mirror, her ivory silk dress hugging every curve. She looks down at her ring and sighs, remembering the past for just a moment...

*flashback*

“Don't ever change..."

“Some things never change" He takes her hand as they head upstairs…

*end of flashback*

"I told you Bo, some things never change, and our love for each other is definitely one of those unchangeable things.” She turns towards the door as Rachel walks in with Aurora.

"Mom, you look so beautiful."

"Thank you Ricki, and look at you, and this little princess here. I'm not sure anyone will be looking at me today.”

Laughing, "Right mom, I'll bet my next year's salary that Bo won't notice there’s anyone else in the room once he sees you standing at the back of the church.”

She takes Aurora from Rachel, "I don't know about that, this little angel, is the apple of her daddy's eye, aren't you princess?” Aurora gurgles, "So you ready to get married little one?"

Later that afternoon…St. James’ Church:

Bo and Matthew are standing at the front of the church. Bo looks at his watch for the 10th time in five minutes. "Relax Dad, geez"

She stands in the back of the church waiting for the doors to open. Rachel stands in front of her, their son is up with his father, their daughter lies in the arms of her Grandmother. Everything is as it should be. They open the doors and she takes a steadying breath. "I love you Bo Buchanan, I’ll love you forever, she whispers to herself as she waits for the music to begin.

I can see you
On your wedding day
With the one you love
To share the way
A life ahead of you
Youth left behind
Go out and make yourself
Some memories

He looks up as the doors open; "their" daughter walking out in front of her. She looks so beautiful he thinks to himself, feeling the pride only a father feels. She smiles at him; he winks at her as she makes her way down the aisle. He looks up as the music begins to play, and his breath catches in his throat as soon as he lays eyes on her. Suddenly everything blurs around him, she is all he sees. "I love you Nora Buchanan, I’ll love you forever”, he whispers to himself as she makes her way towards him.

Despair and pleasure
Faced at every turn
And there's children
To save from harm's way
Three thousand doorways
Reveal a thousand more
Treasure each moment
Forever more

He mouths "I love you”…she does the same. She looks down at their little boy, his smile covers his whole face...yeah dreams do come true.

As the music stops the church falls silent, the only thing they can hear is their little girls coos, he looks over at her, her hand waving in the air...yeah dreams do come true.

He holds out his hand she places hers in it. Their eyes lock as Andrew begins to speak "Who gives this woman in marriage today?"

Matthew and Rachel exchange looks, both looking between themselves and their parents, looking back at their baby sister lying in Renee’s arms, in unison they answer Andrew’s question, "Their children do."

"We are gathered here together in front of family, friends and God, to reunite two lost souls that have finally found their way home. Everyone in this room who has had the privilege of seeing their love grow…who have seen the heartache that came when their love was lost…knows that this is certainly a day to celebrate...because a love like theirs is only found once in a lifetime. Before I begin, Bo and Nora have something they want to say, so" he looks at Bo, "Bo?"

I promise to love you and do my best for you
I need you to help me to find my strength

He takes a deep breath and looks deep into her eyes, so deep he feels like he can actually see her soul, one hand still holding hers he brings the other up to caress her cheek, it truly is as if they’re the only two people in the room, "Nora, before I met you I only thought I knew what true everlasting love was, truth is I had no idea this kind of love even existed. The kind of love that we have, is so rare, and so special that I didn't even realize all that it gave to me, until I lost it, and the moment that I realized that it was gone, all the light in my world disappeared. For the past 5 years I have been stumbling around in the dark, trying to find my way back, and one look in your eyes on a dark deserted highway," she blushes, "totally illuminated my world again, and right then I knew what it was I had; lost what it was that I needed to have back. You are the light at the end of a very dark tunnel...you are my compass and my map...what it was to have my life complete.”

He pauses, looking at Matthew, "When we found out Matthew was our son, I realized just how perfect our love was once upon a time. And when I realized that you were carrying our child yet again, I realized how perfect our love really is, and has always been. I know there are still going to be a lot of dark days, in our future, but I also know that with you by my side, my light in the darkness, we will make our way through, straight to the other side. I promise you Nora Buchanan with everything that I am I will love you, honor and cherish you until I am taken from this earth,” He wipes the tears from her cheek with his thumb, replacing his thumb with a kiss as he took her hands in his once again.

I promise to love you and do my best for you

She looks down at their hands and up into his face, and she can see forever staring back at her. "Bo, you've been the only man in my life who has ever wanted me and loved me for me. With you I could be me; you were and are all I need to live today, tomorrow and for the rest of my life. When we lost our way, I lost my heart. I tried to replace it with what I thought was the love of others, but nothing could fill the void that you left in my heart. I found my heart on that same lonely highway, on that same stormy night. When I look into the eyes of our son and daughter I can see how perfect and special our love is. When I see how you love Rachel; how you love her as your own, I know there isn't another man on this earth that could or will ever own my heart. I love you Bo Buchanan and I promise that I will love you honor and treasure you for the rest of my life and into the next," she leans in and whispers, "Remember my heart is you," as she places a kiss on his lips.

"It's time for the exchanging of the rings."

Bo turns towards Matthew, who holds out his hand, where his mother's wedding band is on his thumb. Bo slips the ring off his son's hand and turns to face his former and future wife, the one and only true love of his life, "Take this ring as a symbol of my love, a love that has no beginning and no end, but has been with us since the beginning of time and will remain with us until the end of time." As he slips the ring on her finger he pulls her hand to his lips and kisses it.

Nora turns towards Matthew, who is now holding out his other hand, his father's band on his thumb, slipping the ring off she leans in and kisses his head. She takes Bo's left hand in hers and slips the ring on his finger, never breaking the hold their eyes had on each other. "Bo, take this ring as a symbol of a love that would never die. A love that has been there; filling my very soul, since the day I literally spilled into your life." She brings his hand up to her lips and kisses it.

They turn back towards Andrew, their fingers still intertwined, neither one letting the other go, "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife…again. Ladies and Gentleman Mr. & Mrs. Bo and Nora Buchanan, you may kiss your bride."

Life comes and it will go
And there's no time to sit and watch the grass grow
When we are old and grey you know we'll say
We went and made ourselves some memories

Bo takes her face in his hands; pulling her into their first kiss as man and wife. All the love they have for each other could be felt in that kiss.

She takes Matthew’s hand; he walks over to take Aurora from her grandmother. As his father lifts her out of Renee’s arms Matthew peeks over at her and whispers, "Hey baby sister we're all married now, we’re a real family.”

Bo smiles at Nora; she returns his smile, as they both mouth “I love you” and walk out of the church, hand in hand..

We're starting our life
We're starting together now
I need you to help me to find my strength
Walk with me all through my life
My lover my husband my wife
