A Helping Hand for a Friend

Nora: How you doing?
Antonio: Fine. I'm fine.
Nora: I heard about the restraining order you got to keep Liz from leaving town with the baby.
Antonio: Yeah.
Nora: I'm so sorry it came to that.
Antonio: Yeah, me, too.
Nora: I've known Liz a long time. Do you want me to talk to her?
Antonio: Couldn't hurt.
Nora: I could talk to Keri, too.
Antonio: I'd be asking you to waste your time.
Nora: You don't know that.
Antonio: I slept with her mother, Nora.
Nora: I know. It still would be worth a try.
Antonio: Would you ever forgive Troy for sleeping with Lindsay?
*~*
Nora: No, I would never forgive Troy for sleeping with Lindsay. As a matter of fact, I'd probably be very happy never seeing either one of them again.
Antonio: Well, then you can understand how Keri feels about me and Liz.
Nora: No, I can't. I mean, I do, but it's completely different.
Antonio: How?
Nora: It wasn't your fault, Antonio.
Antonio: Yeah, that's what everyone says.
Nora: No, because it's the truth. You're human. You made a mistake. You didn't intentionally go out to try and hurt Keri.
Antonio: Yeah, but I did hurt Keri.
Nora: Yes, I know you did. Antonio, I'm -- I know how hard this is on everyone, but you can't give up.
Antonio: Look, Nora, I already got this pep talk from Jessica.
Nora: This is no pep talk. This is the truth. What you and Keri had was genuine, you know? This is the real deal. This isn't something that you easily get over, even if you really want to. You know, Keri may be really mad right about now and things may seem really bad right about now, but it's not over yet. Somehow, someday, you two are going to cross paths again.
*~*
Nora: You call me anytime, ok?
Antonio: Thank you.
Nora: I mean it. Anytime.
