Unforgettable Love

A Sequel to An Unstoppable Love

Chapter One:

Unforgettable that's what you are

Unforgettable tho' near or far

Like a song of love that clings to me,

How the thought of you does things to me.

Never before has someone been more...

Nora lays her head against the crook of Bo's neck and he pulls her close loving the feel of her being wrapped in his arms. He leans his head against hers and begins to sing....

Unforgettable in every way

And forever more

That's how you'll stay

She raises her head off his shoulder and looks deep in his eyes. She runs her finger down the side of his face as he continues to sing to her.

That's why darling, it's incredible

that someone so unforgettable

Thinks that I am

Unforgettable, too.

Bo leans in and kisses her deeply. After a few minutes they break their kiss and he takes her face in his hands, caressing her cheeks with his thumbs, "I love you so much, Nora, and no matter what life has in store for us our love is something I'll always treasure and keep locked deep inside my heart, it's truly unforgettable and I can't wait to become Mr. Nora Buchanan again."

"Well I can't wait to be Mrs. Bo Buchanan again and I think we need to make that happen as soon as possible. So what do you say, Commish, wanna get hitched next weekend?"

"Next weekend...um well definitely but do you think you'll be okay planning a wedding that quickly? What about the baby?"

"I'll get Renee to help me and Vicki...and Rachel," Bo smiled at her enthusiasm, "Rachel can come, she can be my maid of honor again and Hank can be your best man. I know he'd love that." Bo silenced her with a kiss and took her hand leading her over to the table, "Why are we sitting back down? I want to keep dancing."

"And I would love to keep dancing with you and watching how your eyes sparkle with excitement when you talk about our wedding but you need to get off your feet. Dr. Conklin said that you could only be out for a few hours, so you sit here while I go and get our coats, okay." He could see the disappointment in her eyes and wished he could make things easier for her. He leaned in and kissed her before leaving to go get their coats, "I'll be right back."

Nora nodded and watched him walk out of the ballroom. She looked down at the ring on her finger and smiled, "God I love you so much, Bo and I'm going to spend the rest of my life showing you just how much, this time it's forever."

He smiled when he heard her words, knowing that she hadn't heard him walk back in the room, 'I love you too, Nora...more than you'll ever know', he thinks to himself not wanting her to know he had heard her private declaration. He leans in and kisses the back of her neck before standing in front of her to help her up. He helps her on with her coat and they walk out of the hotel hand in hand.

The next week passed in a blur of activity. Nora had called Rachel the following morning and she took the first flight back to Llanview to help Nora plan the wedding. Renee and Vicki were in charge of the reception at the Palace and Bo took care of making the arrangements at St. James. Hank took care of the food and the renting of the tuxedos.

The morning of the wedding dawned and the sun was shining after weeks of snow. Bo woke up early that morning in his old room at Asa's house. His mind immediately went to her and how she was probably still sound asleep, holding his pillow tight against her as she slept. He couldn't believe that they were getting married again. So much had happened that had led them back to this place and he was so thankful for the life they had built so far and for the life they would build in the future. He quietly climbed out of bed and threw on his LPD sweats.

The crisp February air assaulted his lungs the minute he stepped outside the front door. He pulled his jacket tighter against his chest as he headed down the street. The wind blew around him chapping his cheeks as he continued to make his way to his destination. A half hour later he was standing at the top of the long driveway. He hadn't been back here since the day they had split the cornerstone and went their separate ways, in an attempt to lead a life without the other. He looked up at the smoke billowing out of the chimney and a smile crept across his face, as he thought about all the nights they spent lying in front of that fireplace, talking and making love. He noticed a light come on in the living room and decided to turn and walk away, hoping the house still held as much love as it did when they had lived there.

He made his way back towards the house and smiled to himself as he thought about the wedding gift he had for her. He was halfway home when his cell phone began to ring. He broke out into another smile when he saw the number appear on the screen, "Hi there beautiful."

She sits in the kitchen, stirring her tea, wishing it was a cup of coffee, "Hi there, handsome, happy wedding day."

"Happy wedding day to you, too, honey. I wish I could come home right now and wrap you in my arms and spend every minute up to the wedding with you."

"I know I wish you could be here to, but Matthew and Rachel are insisting that we do every thing by the book this time, so no seeing the bride until the wedding ceremony."

"I know and as hard as it's going to be I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and sacrifice myself to the wedding gods."

She laughs, "Oh what you won't do in the name of love."

"I know that's just the kind of guy I am."

"Mom!!!!", Matthew yells from the top of the stairs.

Bo hears him yelling for Nora and smiles imagining the look on her face, remembering all the times they've both told him not to yell, "Well Red, sounds like you're about to have your hands full in a minute or two so I'll let you go. I love you, Red. See you at the end of the aisle."

"I'll be there, and I love you too."

She hung up the phone and stood up just as Matthew ran into the kitchen, "Mom, didn't you hear me calling you?"

"With the way you were yelling mister I bet your Grandpa heard you. Now what was so important that you had to yell loud enough to wake the dead?"

"I can't find my clothes for the wedding and if I can't find them then I'm going to be late and Uncle Hank is going to be here soon to pick me up.", he whined as he sat down at the table.

"Matthew, sweetie, your clothes are already at the hotel. Uncle Hank took them there last night after the rehearsal."

"Oh, yeah. I forgot." Matthew quickly changed the subject to his stomach, "So can I have waffles for breakfast."

She leaned down and kissed the top of his head, "Sure, sweetie, waffles coming up." Nora walked over to the freezer and reached in, pulling out the box. Rachel walked up behind her and took the box of waffles out of her hand, "Mom...sit down, I've got breakfast covered and this," holding up the box of frozen waffles, "is not good enough for our wedding day breakfast."

"Rachel, honey I can..."

"No mom, relax, sit down. You're not supposed to be on your feet."

"Fine, I'll be out in the living room...waiting."

"No calling Bo!" Rachel yells after Nora as she walks out of the kitchen.

"You're no fun." Nora answers back as she sits down on the couch, staring at the telephone; longing to call Bo.

Nora sat in the quiet living room listening to the laughter coming from the kitchen as her children make her a special wedding breakfast. It was so wonderful having both of her children under the same roof and she wished Rachel was able to find a way to come home. She laid her hand across her stomach as their daughter made her presence known, "Are you excited to, my love. We're getting hitched today. We're finally going to be a real family."

Rachel and Matthew had walked out of the kitchen a few minutes before and they smiled at each other as they listened to their mother talking to their sister. Rachel walked around the couch and sat down next to Nora; Matthew climbing up on Rachel's lap, "Speaking of being a real family I have an announcement to make. I'm coming home. I'm not going back to Chicago after the wedding."

Nora stared at her daughter for a moment; afraid that what she had just heard was just her wishful thinking invading her mind, but when Rachel nodded; sensing her mother's disbelief, Nora knew it was true and that one of her greatest wishes had come true. Matthew jumped off of Rachel's lap and Nora took her into her arms, "Oh, baby. That is the best news. God I've missed you and I'm so glad you're coming home. What about your job though?"

"I resigned, I'm going to be heading up the community outreach programs at the community center. Joey had called me a few weeks ago and asked me if I was ready to come home. It was just a case of perfect timing because I had been thinking about coming home. I've been gone for too long and I missed my family."

"And I've missed you too," Matthew chimed in, never looking up from his Gameboy.

Rachel stood up and walked over to where Matthew was sitting and ruffled his hair, "Well I've missed you too, little brother and now how about you put that game down and let's go eat some breakfast."

"Good...I'm starved!" Matthew yelled as he ran into the kitchen.

Nora stood up and walked towards the kitchen her arm wrapped around Rachel's waist. She glanced back once at the phone sitting on the end table. Rachel caught her looking at the phone and smiled, "You'll see him in a few hours, Mama."

Nora just nodded and laid her head down on her daughter's shoulder as they walked the rest of the way into the kitchen. They ate their breakfast amongst lively conversation. A half hour later Rachel was clearing away the dishes while Nora made her way up to start getting ready. Hank arrived a few minutes later and took Matthew to the Palace to meet Bo and get ready for the wedding.

Nora stepped out of the bath a half hour later. She wrapped her robe tight around her and walked out into her bedroom. She smiled when she saw that Rachel had everything laid out on the bed for her. She walked over to her dresser and pulled out the lingerie she had bought specifically for the wedding. She stood in front of the mirror a few minutes later, her ivory silk dress, falling perfectly around her, accentuating every curve. She turned when there was a knock on the door. Rachel walked in and stood behind her mother, both of them smiling at her reflection, "You're going to blow Bo away. You look amazing, Mama."

Nora turned and laid her hand on Rachel's cheek, "Thank you, baby. You look beautiful, too."

Rachel glanced over at the clock on the nightstand. She held her arm out to her mom and smiled, "You ready?"

Nora nodded and smiled through her tears, "Ready."

Bo paced back and forth in front of the church, glancing every few minutes at his watch. Hank walked up behind him and laid a hand on his shoulder, "Relax, buddy, it's almost time."

Bo turned and smiled at his best friend, "I know...I just can't wait to see her. This still seems so surreal. Sometimes I'm afraid I'm going to wake up and it's all going to be gone and the past 10 months never happened."

"Well you don't have to worry about that my friend. It's happening...all of it," the music begins to play, "and it's happening right now."

Bo turned and faced the back of the church just as the doors opened and he saw Asa and Renee making their way down the aisle to take their seats on his side as parent's of the groom. The music quickly changed and Rachel appeared in the doorway. Hank winked at his daughter as she began to make her way down the aisle. A moment later the music changed again and Matthew and Nora appeared in the doorway. Bo couldn't believe his eyes; she looked amazing. Their eyes locked as she made her way down the aisle. She was all he could see, he was all she saw, they were the only two that existed.

They continued to stare at each other as Andrew began to speak. They never broke the hold their eyes had on each other as they recited their vows, sealing their love with promises of forever, and when they finally kissed for the first time as husband and wife their hearts were beating as one again and this time death would truly be the only thing to tear them apart.
